The TRUSTEE project is inviting experts and stakeholders to express their interest in participating in the TRUSTEE Stakeholder Forum Thematic Workshops, taking place in Rome on 26–27 November 2026.
The workshops are conceived as focused consultation sessions designed to involve external experts and stakeholders in the assessment and refinement of TRUSTEE’s initial Future-Proof Use Cases for Zero Emission Waterborne Transport (ZEWT).
The consultation will consider two future time horizons, 2030 and 2050. Following the presentation of the TRUSTEE methodology and the relevant scenario, participants will be invited to critically discuss the proposed use cases, identifying strengths and limitations, potential gaps, trade-offs and suggestions for improvement.
The objective is to collect structured and technically relevant stakeholder feedback that can support the validation and further development of TRUSTEE’s use cases and future pathways towards ZEWT.
Workshop programme
The four thematic workshops will take place over two days, with two parallel sessions on the afternoon of 26 November and two parallel sessions on the morning of 27 November. Specifically:
- Overall Environmental Impact – 26 November, afternoon
- Strategy and Finance – 26 November, afternoon
- Technologies and Technical Integration – 27 November, morning
- Workforce Transition and Wider Societal Impact – 27 November, morning
How to participate
Interested experts and stakeholders can submit an Expression of Interest to participate in one of the four thematic workshops.
Applications will be reviewed in line with the criteria used to compose the TRUSTEE Stakeholder Forum. The selection process will aim to create balanced and complementary groups representing the main categories of organisations involved in, or potentially affected by, the deployment of ZEWT solutions.
These include actors from shipbuilding, manufacturing and maintenance, infrastructure, efficiency and optimisation, waterborne transport operations, public institutions, research organisations, networks, citizen associations, shipowners and maritime operators.
Selection will take into account both the relevance of the applicant’s expertise to the selected thematic workshop and the need to ensure diversity in expertise, professional background, gender and age.
The Call for Expressions of Interest is not a registration to an open event. Selected applicants will receive an official invitation from the TRUSTEE project with the relevant practical information.
For selected participants, eligible travel and accommodation costs associated with participation will be covered by the TRUSTEE project and organised through the project-appointed travel agency. No attendance fee or honorarium is foreseen.
