TRUSTEE Intermediate Review Meeting in Brussels

On 1 October 2026, TRUSTEE consortium gathered in Brussels for its Intermediate Review Meeting with the Project Officer Agnieszka Zaplatka, Gabriel Mialocq from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), and Maria Guillen Molina from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD).

The meeting offered an opportunity to present the project’s progress and discuss the next steps towards the efficient and sustainable deployment of Zero-Emission Waterborne Transport (ZEWT).

Partners shared updates across TRUSTEE’s key areas of work, including foresight scenarios for 2030 and 2050, comparative analysis of technologies and future-proof use cases, stakeholder engagement, and the development of recommendations for standards and policies. Communication, dissemination and project management activities were also presented.

The discussions provided valuable feedback to guide the next phase of the project. This review marked an important milestone for TRUSTEE, as the consortium continues to develop knowledge and recommendations to support informed decisions for the transition to ZEWT.

Stakeholder engagement remains central to TRUSTEE. The upcoming Stakeholder Workshops in Rome will provide an opportunity for experts and stakeholders to contribute their perspectives and exchange insights on the transition to ZEWT. Interested stakeholders can submit an expression of interest to be considered for participation.

For those who missed TRUSTEE’s first webinar on 16 September, a summary of the key insights and the presentation slides are available on the webinar page.
